Product Processing

Step 5 : Product Processing

Activated Carbon (PAC and GAC) is fed into a storage hopper where it is cooled down with inert nitrogen gas to reduce hazardous risks. GAC is crushed and screened to a particle size suitable to the market while PAC requires milling and cyclonic separation. The products are collected in bulk packaging and stored in a designated area according to safe handling and storage requirements.

Wood vinegar from the torrefaction process (non-toxic) and condensable liquids from the pyrolysis process (toxic) are collected and stored separately in stainless steel tanks for an extended settling period where density segregation takes place.
